LOCKDOWN!

We want to update everyone on the hostage situation that occurred this past Wednesday, Nov. 14, at the Waupun Correctional Institution. As many of you know, we are in Waupun every week, doing Pastoral visits.

Apparently, an inmate took a dental worker hostage and held her for almost six hours. According to what has been released, it seems as though he wanted some cigarettes. (All Wisconsin prisons are non-smoking, sometimes causing more of a problem for workers than for inmates!)

Additionally, we were not allowed to enter Waupun this week due to the lockdown lasting three days. God is still doing His work in the lives of many prisoners. We praise Him for this!
