We've been doing a Bible discussion study on Wednesday nights. So I thought I'd put my notes here on our blog. Let me know what you think.

Bible Discussion on the Book of Ruth, chapter 1

After reading the chapter, let’s review the people & connect the dots in this chapter.

What do we discover about Naomi’s character by her actions & words?

What do we discover about Ruth’s character by her actions & words?

Can we discover anything about God according to this chapter?

What does it mean when Ruth says in verse 16, “ . . . Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God?”

Have you ever felt like Naomi when she said, “the Almighty has made my life very bitter?

Can we find a relationship between Ruth’s desire for God & Lydia’s commitment to the Lord in Acts 16:11-15; & 40? Explain

Do you know of other women in the bible who have the same commitment to the Lord?

What nuggets from this chapter can you apply to your life tonight?

How can you apply the phrase, “your God (will be) my God”,  to your life?”
