Olson’s Opportunities
Summer 2018                                          to serve the Lord
     28 years!

We are celebrating 28 years of ministry with Tecate Mission International We give God the glory for the privilege and place to serve Him full time! He has loved, protected and provided for our family over all these years. What a journey! We are so thankful that He has led us and cares for those whose lives we have been able to touch by His grace.

“Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.” Col 1:28

We also appreciate our partners in prayer and giving, for your faithfulness to the Lord and the work He called us to behind prison walls. Your investment means so much.

Ministry Update
Lately we’ve been teaching a variety of topics in our prison Bible studies, like the armor of God from Ephesians 6, anger and bitterness, principles of the Christian life, and activities of believers in the local church (baptism, communion, tithing, leadership)

LET’S PRAY / OREMOS
~ Prisoners to recognize their need and give themselves to the Savior.
~ The released to find work, housing, a church and positive friends.
~ Wisdom in scheduling and counseling, and safety over the many miles.
~ For volunteers who enter the prisons with us as they observe and serve.

A Tribute
A dear friend, sister in the Lord and ministry partner has gone to Glory! Nellie LeVoy Crull loved the Word of God and teaching it to children! She served at TMI with us from 1988-1992, teaching 5th grade & AWANA. She will be missed.

How’s Your Missions Vision?
You are invited to the Fall Missions Conference at People’s Church in Beloit, WI, our home and sending church. Come be motivated as you hear stories of God’s transforming power around the world, Sat Sept 22, at the 9 am breakfast and the 6 pm meal and missionary presentations, plus Sun Sept 23 for 9:15 am Sunday School and 10:30 am service. We’re grateful to be on the new timeline history wall of those People’s Church calls their own missionaries who were sent out to share the Gospel!

REJOICE WITH US!
Sept 8, 2018 will be long remembered by our family, as our son Josh united in marriage to Amy Wells of Eau Claire, WI. Our prayer for them is from Eph 4:3, “Pour yourselves out for each other in acts of love.”

God has been so good to us, blessing us in unexpected ways through our trials and stretching times. We pray you are able to testify to growth in your faith, too. God’s lessons are for our good.

May God’s presence bring you peace as you trust Him!

Your missionaries to prisoners,
Carl and Kathy

Some thoughts from Ephesians 2:1-0
‘As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6) And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’

In this portion of scripture, God tells us who we were without Jesus, He tells us what He did for us, and He tells us who we are in Jesus! What a glorious Savior! He has done it all!
